Which streaming service has the most 4K content to watch?

The range of streaming services offering 4K UHD and Dolby Vision has grown significantly in recent years, with Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu and more now providing a large selection of content.

Are you looking for the highest quality 4K content? It used to be that 4K TVs were a costly investment. Now, however, you can find 4K televisions for less than $500, and even more affordability may come with 8K technology in the near future. Still, finding great 4K content can be a challenge.

Although 4K content is accessible at a reasonable price, it is not yet widely available across all platforms. However, once you know where to look, there are numerous options available. Purchasing the right equipment is necessary to access this content, but it can be acquired relatively easily and certainly worth the investment.

The availability of 4K content on streaming services has dramatically increased over time. Many popular platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, Hulu, and more all offer 4K HDR and Dolby Vision support. Nevertheless, the quantity of 4K content available for viewing varies between services.

It is essential to evaluate the quality of a streaming service’s offerings when selecting one. Having the most titles is not a significant factor if the majority of them are inferior; the same applies to 4K support.

We have compiled a comprehensive list of all available 4K content sources available. Additionally, we have created a guide to assist those who are not currently able to stream Netflix in 4K and recommend potential solutions. Let’s assess which service provides the most value.

Conclusion

It is not easy to accurately determine the number of 4K titles available on each streaming service; none of the services provide a comprehensive breakdown of this information, and it can be difficult to narrow down by video quality. However, we were able to gain an approximate understanding of the services’ respective offerings.

For our research, we took into account Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, HBO Max, Paramount+, Peacock, Disney+, Hulu, and Apple TV+. It should be noted that these figures are approximate, and content is continually added and removed from services, including films and television series.

  • Netflix: 1140+
  • Amazon Prime Video: 720+
  • UltraFlix: 900+
  • Disney+: 800+
  • Paramount+: 160+
  • FuboTV: 130+ events in 4K
  • Hulu: 115+
  • Apple TV+: 80+
  • HBO Max: 30+
  • Peacock: 15+

Netflix leads in the realm of 4K content, but it comes at a higher price point. Disney+ offers a surprisingly robust selection of 4K offerings. Prime Video follows, providing an expansive library of content; though, much of it is of lower quality.
