Solved: Microsoft 365 or Office 365 license which equivalent to Azure Active Directory Premium (AADP) P2

I need to enable users for full Azure AD identity protection, but want to validate what Microsoft 365 or Office 365 license supports the same features as Azure Active Directory Premium (AADP) P2 for identity protection. What is the Microsoft 365 or Office 365 license which equivalent to Azure Active Directory Premium P2?

There is no equivalent as such.

Office 365 license doesn’t include Azure Active Directory Premium P2, you would need to either buy it separately as a single license or purchase Enterprise Mobility + Security E5 (EMS E5) which has AADP P2 bundled.

For Microsoft 365 you would need E5 to get Azure Active Directory Premium P2.

If you have an AADP P2 license, that applies to Microsoft 365 as well if it’s using the same Azure Active Directory.

Here is a link to the Microsoft Licensing page that may help: Microsoft Docs > Azure > Active Directory > Fundamentals > What is group-based licensing in Azure Active Directory? > Licensing requirements
