Certain files, folders, or drives in Windows 11 are hidden by default to prevent you from deleting them accidentally. This article shows you the steps to unhide these hidden items in Windows File Explorer.
Windows 11 supports hidden files across the system to hide files that you don’t want to be visible when browsing through folders, which mostly offers one-click controls to show and hide hidden content.
Solution: How to unhide files or the content of folders in Windows File Explorer
Step 1: Open a folder and File Explorer is open or open the File Explorer from the taskbar.
Step 2: Click on the View in the Menu bar.
Step 3: Select the Show > Hidden items.
Step 4: All hidden files and folders will become visible.
Note: Repeat the same steps as above to deselect the Hidden items option in order to hide the hidden files and folders again.
