Problem: Unexpected error refreshing Server Manager Exception from HRESULT 0x800F0900 prompt when add or remove Server Manager Roles and Features.

Solution 1

Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files. sfc /scannow

Solution 2

Fix Windows Update errors by using the DISM or System Update Readiness tool

Solution 3

Fix errors that are found in the CheckSUR.log

Step 1: Copy the package (.msu) to the %SYSTEMROOT%\CheckSUR\packages directory. By default, this directory doesn’t exist and you need to create the directory.

Step 2: Rerun the System Update Readiness Tool.
