[Solved] How Do I Enable Top Sites or Most Visited Sites and Site Visit Count in Firefox Quantum 64

Problem: When I open new tab in Firefox Quantum 64, the usual most visited sites aren’t there, its showing the google search page as default home screen. How do I enable the most visited top sites showing in Firefox home screen so that I can access it quickly? How do I set it to the much more useful list of most visited sites, which shows up when I open a new tab as below?

Step 1: Enter about:preferences#home in Firefox’s address bar.

Step 2: Make sure Top Sites is checked.

The Most Visited smart bookmark available at Bookmarks toolbar with lists pages you have visited the most number of times. Access it at Bookmarks menu > Bookmarks Toolbar > Most Visited.

Solution 3: Visit Count column in History Manager Library

Step 1: Click on History menu > Show All History to open History Manager Library.

Step 2: There is a Visit Count column under Views > Show Columns available and you can sort the history by this column.

Solution 4: Reset browser new tab URL

Step 1: Type about:config in address bar and press EnterThis might void your warranty! warning message page may appear.

Step 2: Click I’ll be careful, I promise! to continue to the about:config page.

Step 3: Type browser.newtab.url in the search box to find it on the list.

Step 4: Double-click on browser.newtab.url and type about:newtab in the window that pops up.

Step 5: Restart Firefox.

Step 1: Go to Edit > Preferences.

Step 2: Switch Homepage and new windows option to Custom URLs…

Step 1: In the address bar, type about:config and press Enter.

Step 2: This might void your warranty!” warning message page may appear. Click I accept the risk! to continue to the about:config page.

Step 3: Search for the preference browser.places.smartBookmarksVersion.

Step 4: Double-click on browser.places.smartBookmarksVersion and change the value to 0 (zero).

Step 5: Restart Firefox, the default Smart Bookmarks folders will be re-created.
