Meta’s Facebook Messenger app now includes an end-to-end encryption feature but is not enabled by default. Follow the below solution steps to enable end-to-end encryption for Facebook Messenger.

Step 1: Open an active chat thread.

Step 2: Swipe up to enable the Vanish Mode.

Step 3: Tap on the OK button.

Solution 2: Secret Conversation

Messenger’s Secret Conversations feature with end-to-end encryption built-in will creates a safe space for you and your friend to chat securely and share media, including messages, pictures, stickers, videos, and voice recordings.

Note: Secret Conversations ONLY available when using Messenger’s Android, iOS, and iPadOS apps.

Step 1: Tap the Edit button located at the top right corner.

Alternatively, you can open an active chat thread, tap on the i button located at the top right corner, and select Go to secret conversation under More actions menu.
