Show host name on the login page of FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer

This article describes how to show the device’s platform name on the login page in FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer, particularly when more than one FortiManager is being used and there is a need to differentiate between them.

Scope

FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer.

Solution

On the FortiManager VM, the login page will show FortiManager-VM64.

The hostname can be shown on the login page by editing the hostname and enabling this feature from the CLI:

Modify the hostname from the GUI:

Enable show-hostname from CLI:

config system admin setting
set show-hostname enable
end

Now, the hostname will be displayed on the login page.
