How to Fix Netflix Streaming Error Code UI-122 Problem?

Error ‘Error UI-122’ show when streaming videos with Netflix on various platform or gadget including PS3, PS4, Roku, Nintendo WI, Sensible TV, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Amazon Firestick and so on, due to limited internet connection, DNS servers are unreachable, weak Wi-Fi signal, router in error state, or corrupted / missing files in Netflix app. Follow below solutions to resolve Netflix Error UI-122 while streaming.

Solution 1: Check Internet connection

In order to troubleshoot Internet connection and make sure the network is open and supports streaming, open Netflix from another console or device while connected to the same network and see whether receive the same error message. If not, then move on to other specific workarounds.

Solution 2: Restart Device

Restart Wii

1. Turn off Wii.
2. Unplug power cord from the back of Wii for at least 1 minute.
3. Plug Wii back in.
4. Turn on Wii with the power button and try Netflix again.

Restart PlayStation 3

1. Unplug PlayStation 3 from power for at least 1 minute.
2. While PlayStation 3 is unplugged, press the power button on the PlayStation 3 to discharge it.
3. Plug PlayStation 3 back in.
4. Turn on PlayStation 3 with the power button and try Netflix again.

Restart PlayStation 4

1. Unplug PlayStation 4 from power for at least 1 minute.
2. Plug PlayStation 4 back in.
3. Turn on PlayStation 4 with the power button and try Netflix again.

Restart Roku

1. Unplug Roku from power for at least 10 seconds.
2. Plug Roku back in.
3. Turn on Roku by pressing any button on the Roku remote.
4. Wait 1 full minute and try Netflix again.

Restart Xbox 360

1. Turn off Xbox 360.
2. Unplug the power cord from the back of the Xbox 360 for at least 1 minute.
3. While Xbox 360 is unplugged, press and hold the power button on the Xbox 360 for 5 seconds to discharge it.
4. Plug Xbox 360 back in.
5. Turn Xbox 360 on with the power button and try Netflix again.

Restart Xbox One

1. Turn off Xbox One.
2. Unplug the power cord from the back of the Xbox One for at least 1 minute.
3. While Xbox One is unplugged, press and hold the power button on the Xbox One for 5 seconds to discharge it.
4. Plug Xbox One back in.
5. Turn on Xbox One with the power button and try Netflix again.

Solution 3: Restart home network and check signal strength

try to reset the router, place it on another location or connect the console with the internet via Ethernet wire instead of Wi-Fi.

1. Turn off console and unplug the mains power supply to make sure that all temporary configurations (including internet) are erased.
2. Unplug router for around 2-3 minutes from mains power supply.
3. Plug router back in and wait until the indicator lights are on and turned green signifying a successful connection.
4. Turn on console and try to access Netflix again. Check if the error is resolved.

Solution 4: Change DNS settings

1. Try to change the DNS settings on device to Google’s DNS and see if this solves the issue.
   DNS Settings: Manual
   Primary DNS-Server: 8.8.8.8
   Secondary DNS-Server: 8.8.4.4
2. After changing the DNS settings, save all changes and restart router before accessing Netflix again.

Set DNS to Automatic on Wii

1. From the Nintendo Wii U home screen, select System Settings > Internet > Connect to the Internet > Connections.
2. Select your home network name.
3. Tap the arrow on the right and select DNS > Auto-obtain > Confirm > Save.
4. Try Netflix again.

Verify DNS settings on PlayStation 3

1. From PS3 main menu, navigate to Settings > Network Settings > Internet Connection Settings.
2. Press OK on the confirmation screen.
3. Select Custom then choose either Wired Connection or Wireless, depending on connection method.
   If Wireless: Under the WLAN section, select Enter Manually then press the right directional button three times to get to IP Address Setting (your previously saved SSID, Security Setting, and Password will populate automatically).
   If Wired Connection, select Auto-Detect for Operation mode.
4. Select Automatic for IP Address Setting.
5. Select Do Not Set for DHCP host name.
6. Select Automatic for DNS Setting.
7. Select Automatic for MTU.
8. Select Do Not Use for Proxy Server.
9. Select Enable for UPnP.
10. Press the X button to save settings.
11. Select Test Connection. If connection test is successful, try Netflix again.

Verify DNS settings on PlayStation 4

1. From PS4 main menu, navigate to Settings > Network > Set Up Internet Connection.
2. Choose either Use Wi-Fi or Use a LAN Cable depending on your connection method.
   If your connection is wireless: Under Use Wi-Fi, select Custom > Select your Wi-Fi network name.
   If your connection is wired: Select Custom for Operation mode.
3. Select Automatic for IP Address Settings.
4. Select Do Not Specify for DHCP Host Name.
5. Select Automatic for DNS Settings.
6. Select Automatic for MTU Settings.
7. Select Do Not Use for Proxy Server.
8. Select Test Connection. If your connection test is successful, try Netflix again.

Confirm Xbox 360 ‘s DNS Settings

1. Press the Guide button on Xbox 360.
2. Go to Settings > System Settings > Network Settings.
3. Choose your network and select Configure Network > DNS Settings > Automatic.
4. Turn Xbox 360 off and back on then try Netflix again.

Confirm Xbox One’s DNS Settings

1. Press the Menu button on Xbox One controller and select Settings, or select Settings from the Home screen.
2. Select All Settings > Network > Network settings > Advanced settings > DNS settings > Automatic.
3. Press B button to Save then try Netflix again.

Solution 5: Reinstall Netflix application

Uninstall Netflix app on Wii

From the Wii U Gamepad, select System Settings > Data Management > Copy/Move/Delete Data > System Memory > Netflix > Netflix again > Delete.

Reinstall the Netflix app on Wii

1. From the Wii U GamePad, select the yellow shopping bag icon for the Nintendo eShop.
2. Select the search box on the top right of the GamePad.
3. Search for Netflix and select OK on the on-screen keyboard.
4. Select Netflix > Download > Download again > Next > Download > Continue.
5. Return to the Wii U Home screen and try Netflix again.

Uninstall the Netflix app on PlayStation 3

1. Hold the PS button in the middle of the controller, select Quit then select Yes in order to go to PS3 Home Screen.
2. Navigate to TV/Video Services section and highlight Netflix.
3. Press the Triangle button on the controller.
4. Select Delete > Yes.

Reinstall the Netflix app on PlayStation 3

1. Hold the PS button in the middle of the controller, select Quit then select Yes in order to go to PS3 Home Screen.
2. Navigate to TV/Video Services section and select Netflix icon.
3. Select Yes to download Netflix.
4. If you do not see the Netflix app, follow the steps below to download it from the PlayStation store.

Download Netflix app from PlayStation Store

1. Select Apps > Movies/TV > Netflix > Download.
2. Once Netflix has finished downloading, select Start.
3. Sign in to your Netflix account and attempt to stream again. You may be prompted to sign in to your PlayStation Network (PSN) account first.

Uninstall and reinstall the Netflix app on PlayStation 4

1. Hold the PS button in the middle of the controller, select Close Application, then select OK in order to go to PS4 home screen.
2. Navigate to TV & Video section and highlight Netflix.

Solution 7: Delete Netflix saved data for Xbox 360

1. From Xbox 360 Dashboard, Select Settings > System > Storage.
2. Select All Devices if present, or select the first device listed. This will most likely be Memory Unit, USB storage, or Hard Drive.
3. Select Games and Apps > Netflix > Netflix Saved Game > Delete > Select Yes to confirm.
4. If you see Netflix Xbox 360 Game, select it, then select Delete and confirm.
5. If you see Netflix Title Update, select it, then select Delete and confirm.
6. Try Netflix again.
