MC496246: Microsoft 365 admin center: New Teams Group Graph API and Teams Team Activity Counts

We are adding new APIs within Microsoft Admin Center to support Microsoft Teams Groups and Teams Activity Counts.

We are updating Group Graph APIs to add Teams related groups, and adding getTeamsTeamCounts Graph API to strengthen Teams team Graph API sets for Microsoft 365 usage report.

When this will happen

We will begin rolling out in mid-January 2023 and expect to complete rollout by late January 2023.

How this will affect your organization

The new APIs will continue to give Admins new insights of Microsoft Teams usage in their organization.

What you need to do to prepare

Leverage the Graph APIs in Activity reports in the Microsoft Admin Center by selecting Reports on the left-hand navigation -> Usage and then scroll down or choose a product to view activity reports.

Update Teams Group Graph API:

GET /reports/getOffice365GroupsActivityCounts(period='{period_value}')

Add one more Graph API to Teams team Graph API set:

GET /reports/getTeamsTeamCounts(period='{period_value}')
