We are announcing additional functionality to stay compliant with Brazil’s multi-year, multi-phase regulatory change in Dynamics 365 Finance. This feature will reach public preview on September 1, 2026.

How does this affect me?

These tax reform updates bring additional capabilities required to stay compliant with Brazil’s multi-year regulatory change that begins its first phase on January 1, 2027. To support the updated tax reform requirements, the following capabilities will be introduced:

  • Support of the new tax type – IS.
  • New functions for fiscal notes and events, covering additional scenarios.
  • Support for split payments.
  • Capability to define posting logic for reformed tax.
  • Further updates to CNPJ to enhance regulatory compliance.

We will continue to introduce additional functionality based on the phased rollout of tax reform.
