We are announcing the ability to enable self-service site ownership transfer in Power Pages. This feature will reach general availability on September 15, 2026.
How does this affect me?
This feature enables secure site ownership transfer for eligible sites. Existing site owners and global administrators can assign ownership to another valid user within the tenant without requiring manual intervention from support.
The new owner must be a valid user with appropriate access to the environment. Every ownership transfer is recorded in an auditable history, including the previous owner, new owner, initiating user, and timestamp. Notifications are sent to the previous owner, the new owner, and administrators to ensure transparency and continuity, and the changes get logged into Compliance Center.
To help organizations maintain governance standards, Power Pages also identifies sites that no longer have a valid owner and surfaces this information on Power Advisor. Administrators can review these sites and take corrective action to ensure that every production site has a designated accountable owner.
This feature improves lifecycle management, reduces administrative overhead, and helps organizations maintain secure and compliant ownership practices across their Power Pages deployments.
What action do I need to take?
This message is for awareness, and no action is required.
