Microsoft Message

We are announcing the ability to enable on-behalf-of ordering for Microsoft Entra External ID (EEID) in Dynamics 365 Commerce. This feature will reach general availability on September 11, 2026.

How does this affect me?

On-behalf-of (OBO) ordering with Microsoft Entra External ID (EEID) is a foundational B2B commerce capability that allows customer service representatives, distributors, and sales agents to place orders on behalf of customers, a common requirement in complex B2B purchasing scenarios. It also enables new B2B customers to migrate to EEID without losing critical, sales-assisted ordering capabilities while preserving support for distributor-led, contact center, and agent-assisted ordering scenarios.

What action do I need to take?

This message is for awareness, and no action is required.
