Introduction
We’re enhancing the advanced storage report to provide a complete list of all OneDrive accounts and SharePoint sites in your tenant. This update removes the previous 5,000‑item limit and adds insights into recent activity, file counts, and storage consumption to help admins better manage pooled storage.
When this will happen
Targeted Release: We will begin rolling out in early February 2026 and expect to complete by late February 2026.

What will happen:
- A new advanced storage report will be available on demand.
- The report provides a complete inventory of OneDrive accounts and SharePoint sites across the tenant.
- Admins will see detailed metrics, including recent activity, file counts, and storage usage.
- Existing storage usage reports remain available and unchanged.
- The feature is available only to SharePoint admins and Global admins.
- The feature is not enabled by default; admins must generate the report manually.
What you can do to prepare
- Ensure that anyone who needs access has the SharePoint admin or Global admin role assigned.
- In the Microsoft 365 admin center, go to Reports > Storage > Advanced report to request the report:
- Allow 24–48 hours for the report to generate after submission:
- Update internal documentation if you track storage reporting processes.
- Communicate availability of the new report to your helpdesk or storage management teams, if relevant.
