We’re introducing a new Best Practice Configurations Monitoring Dashboard in the Teams admin center. This dashboard helps administrators monitor their tenant’s adherence to Microsoft-recommended best practices for an optimal collaboration experience in Teams meetings. The first focus area is Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) optimization, enabling admins to identify and remediate non-conformance quickly.

When this will happen
- General Availability (Worldwide): We will start rolling out in mid-January 2026 and expect to complete by late January 2026.
- General Availability (GCC): We will start rolling out in late January 2026 and expect to complete by early February 2026.

Who is affected: Teams administrators managing meeting experiences across M365 tenants.
What will happen:
A new Best Practice Configurations Monitoring Dashboard will appear under the Meetings section in Teams admin center.
The dashboard will:
- Highlight non-conformance with best practices for VDI optimization.
- Display subnet/IP details by city for impacted locations.
- Provide exportable lists of users connected to VDI sessions without media optimization enabled.
