How to Use DeepSeek R1 Securely in the US

  1. Log in to your Perplexity account.
  2. Click the “Pro” button near the prompt box to open a dropdown menu.
  3. Select “Reasoning with R1” as your model. Select "Reasoning with R1" as your model.
  4. Type your prompt and press Enter to generate results.
  5. Perplexity will process your request using the R1 model.

Note: Free users can run up to 5 searches per day. To access more, you’ll need a Perplexity Pro subscription.
