How to fix scheduled reports will not run during rebuild ADOM

This article describes that scheduled reports will not run when ADOM database is rebuilding.

Scope

FortiAnalyzer.

Solution

Step 1: In this example, the report ‘Bandwidth and Applications’ has already been scheduled to run at 11:58 AM in the report calendar Reports > Advanced > Report Calendar.

Step 2: The SQL database rebuild is initiated via the below CLI command on the FortiAnalyzer CLI and the ADOM DB rebuilding is still in progress at the scheduled time (11:58 AM):

execute sql-local rebuild-adom root

Step 3: Using the command ‘diagnose sql status rebuild-adom’, the rebuild DB started at 11:56:55 AM and took 117 seconds to complete, therefore ending at 11:58:52 AM.

Step 4: Going to the Reports > Generated Reports page on the FortiAnalyzer shows that no reports were generated at 11:58 AM.

Step 5: Further, checking on the Report Calendar page shows that there is no report generated at 11:58 AM and the previous entry was removed.
