If you’re like me, you unlock your iPhone, and your audio stops. This weird glitch has been bugging a bunch of people using iOS 18. It doesn’t matter if you’re jamming out to Apple Music, binging podcasts, or playing something on a third-party app. Even CarPlay isn’t safe from this. Now, I don’t know about you, but it really grinds my gears when my tunes pause for no reason. To make matters worse, this issue was spotted before the official release of iOS 18. Yet here we are, still dealing with it in the stable version.
So, what’s the fix? Just a simple tweak that works. Let me walk you through it:
- Open your Settings.
- Go down to Accessibility.
- Scroll until you find Vocal Shortcuts and toggle it off.
Now, is it perfect? Not really. For some, turning off Vocal Shortcuts might not be ideal. But hey, until Apple decides to roll out a proper fix, this is the best solution we’ve got.
