How to fix GCP DHCP CIDR routes are not imported into the FortiGate

This article describes the procedure to resolve the issue of routes not being imported from GCP to FortiGate for CIDR networks.

FortiGate v7, v7.2, v7.4.

Solution

Step 1: After configuring DHCP on the FortiGate interface, no routes are installed on the FortiGate.

Step 2: FortiGate can import CIDR routes successfully. It is necessary to enable ‘dhcp classles routes’ on the FortiGate interface.

Step 3: Disable and enable the interface with the issues and verify the routes learned. To create a Routing Monitor Widget go under Dashboard > Add Monitor + > Routing.
