How to fix FortiSwitch not visible in FortiLAN Cloud inventory

This article describes how to register and deploy a licensed FortiSwitch in FortiLAN Cloud through a sub-user account.

Scope

FortiLAN-licensed FortiSwitch.

Solution

Step 1: Ensure that the FortiSwitch has a FortiLAN license and is registered in FortiCloud under the admin account. Login to https://support.fortinet.com and navigate to Services > Asset Management > Products > Product List.

Step 2: Navigate to Services > IAM > Users > Add New > IAM User.

Step 3: Login to https://fortilan.forticloud.com/ using the admin account.

Step 4: Verify that the account is active in the FortiLAN portal. If not, activate the account under Manage Account Access. Ensure that the IAM user created in FortiCloud appears under the main admin account in FortiLAN.

Step 5: Login to https://login.fortilan.forticloud.com/ with the new sub-user account and select the main admin to proceed:

It is possible now, to deploy and register the devices through the sub-account.
