How to fix EMS does not download official FortiClient installers in its installers folder

This article describes that in certain instances, the EMS does not download official FortiClient installers in its installers folder.

Solution

To troubleshoot this issue, check whether any network issue in the user’s environment.

Open the command prompt as admin, go to the EMS installation directory, and attempt to run the command ‘FcmUpdateDaemon.exe -e’.

It shows an error code if there is any network issue that blocks the connection.

If it fails, it is possible to create a new firewall rule from the EMS server to the Internet without any restriction, disable the SSL option for accessing the FortiGuard servers start the stopped services (update and monitoring services stopped) then update the installers with the FcmUpdateDaemon command again. This helps to narrow down the cause and helps troubleshoot the issue.
