This article describes how to export device inventory from CLI.

Solution
There is no feature that can export the information using FortiGate for Device Inventory Monitor:
Device inventory
Output the device list in CLI by running the command:
diagnose user device list
It is also possible to pipe the command output to various Linux commands. For example, use ‘grep’ to search the output for some string.
With this command, it is possible to manually retrieve the device list from FortiGate and save it to a text file.
