This article describes how to create an IPSec Tunnel for v7.6 using the IPsec Tunnel wizard.

Scope

FortiGate v7.6.X.

Solution

Starting from v7.6 IPSec Tunnel configuration wizard design has changed:

Step 1: To configure the Site to Site tunnel, Select the Site to Site template.

To configure the Site to Site tunnel, Select the Site to Site template.

Step 2: Choose remote device type and add Remote Site Information:

Step 3: Configure authentication and select transport method: UDP/ Auto / TCP encapsulation.

Note: Default is ‘Auto’: It will reattempt IKE negotiation with TCP encapsulation before negotiation timeout.

Step 4: Configure Local site information:

Step 5: Configure the tunnel:
