How to configure Firewall Internal Interface as NTP server for the Local Subnet

This article describes how to configure the Firewall Internal Interface as an NTP server for the local user.

FortiOS 7.0.X

Solution

Step 1: Configure NTP server on the Firewall System > Settings > System Time.

Step 2: By default, the FortiGuard server is set to the NTP server.

Step 3: Add Internal Interfaces as the Listen on Interfaces list.

Step 4: Configure the Interface IP address and configure the DHCP server on the interface:

Step 5: The user connected to the interface will use the interface IP 192.168.1.1 as an NTP Server.
