Ever found yourself staring at that frustrating message: “Can’t enable console sharing and offline play right now because you have another PS5 with this setting enabled”? Let’s break it down simply.
- Go to the Settings cog in the top right corner of my PS5. Click on it.
- Scroll down to “Users and Accounts.”
- Go to “Other” and select “Console Sharing and Offline Play.” If you hit that error again, don’t panic! It’s just your PSN account being a bit clingy. If your account is already the primary one on another PS5, it won’t let you enable it on your new console. You have two choices here:
- Disable on the Old PS5: Go back to your old PS5, disable console sharing, and then return to your new console.
- Use the PlayStation Website: If that’s not an option, let’s hit up the PlayStation website instead.
- Log into your PlayStation Network account.
- From there, scroll down to “Account Settings.”
- Click on “Device Management.” You’ll see all your activated consoles.
- Choose to deactivate your account from all devices linked to it.
- Now you’re ready to enable console sharing and offline play on your PS5 Pro!
