Solved: How do I configure Outlook on iPhone/iPad to use Modern Authentication?

Starting from 1 October 2022 onward, Microsoft will start to switch off basic authentication on Microsoft 365 tenants, all devices that have Outlook accounts setup using basic authentication protocol and using Exchange Active Sync (EAS) will stop receiving email.

This change is to provide more secure authentication methods to end users that use personal email or work email on the mobile devices. Users that have not used Modern Authentication will be prompted on the first login attempt to setup multi-factor authentication which require an additional application on your device.

This article will outline the steps to reconfigure the iPhone/iPad to transition from basic auth to modern auth connectivity on iOS.
