Kobuko is a new unit in Teamfight Tactics’ Set 11: Inkborn Fables. He is a one-cost Fortune Bruiser who gains strength from your gold savings. He is ideal for players who can manage their interest well, regardless of win or loss streaks.
Kobuko’s Money Dance
Kobuko’s ability, Money Dance, has a passive and an active part. The passive part gives him permanent health based on your interest, starting from 20 HP per gold at one star. In Hyper Roll, he gets 60 HP per round.
The active part heals him for 300/350/400 HP over two seconds and makes his next attack deal 10% of his max HP as bonus magic damage. At three stars, he has 2,648 HP and deals at least 264 AP damage with his ability.
Kobuko is a Magic Tank who benefits from items that boost his HP and resistances, such as Warmog’s Armor or Dragon’s Claw. You should use him early in the game and see him grow into a powerful ally later on, as the TFT team calls him a “chonky lad”.
The Fortune Trait in TFT: How it works
Kobuko is part of the Fortune trait in Set 11, along with Teemo, Tristana, Zoe, and Annie. They each add their own value to your TFT board.
The Fortune trait makes you gain Luck when you lose and lose Luck when you win. When you activate Fortune for the first time, you roll a die and after that many combats, you have a Festival. At the Festival, you can choose to cash in your Luck for rewards or keep it for the next Festival.
This trait is useful when you need more than luck to turn the game around. With three Fortune units, you get more Luck the more you lose, but with five Fortune units, you heal by two at the start of each combat.
If you get two more Fortune emblems and field seven Fortune units, you roll a new die each Festival. To play Kobuko in Set 11, you need to optimize your interest and plan your next moves carefully.
