How to import secret template file on FortiPAM

This article describes how to import a secret template file on FortiPAM.

Solution

In some cases, multiple secrets are wanted on FortPAM instead of adding them one by one.

Go to ‘Secret’ to download the secret template file from FortiPAM and then edit the necessary fields on that file, such as Secret Template, Target Address, Folder, Account Name, and Account Password into the file, and then import the file to FortiPAM.

On the Download, select Upload Template, and set a Password:

On the same steps, select ‘Upload’.

In some cases, it is possible to face different errors importing files, like ‘Invalid folder’ as below.

Make sure that all fields are filled correctly. the Personal/Public Folder has not been properly added to the .xlsm file.
