How do I customize keyboard shortcuts in Opera

Opera offers built-in settings for customizing its hotkeys, allowing you to modify existing keyboard shortcuts. Follow these steps to personalize Opera’s hotkeys:

  1. Press Alt + P to open Opera’s Settings tab.
  2. Click “Advanced” at the bottom of Opera’s Settings tab.
  3. Scroll down and select the “Configure shortcuts” option near the bottom of the Settings tab. Scroll down and select the "Configure shortcuts" option near the bottom of the Settings tab.

  5. Press the keys for the custom keyboard shortcut you desire. This will establish a second hotkey for the chosen action, and the original default hotkey will still function. If needed, you can delete the default hotkey by hovering over it and clicking X.
  6. Explore browser actions listed without default hotkeys, such as the toggle mute action. You can create new keyboard shortcuts for Opera actions that currently lack default hotkeys.
