Connecting a PS5 controller to your console without a USB-C cable? It’s easier than you think! I’ll share some simple tricks that can save you from the hassle of searching for that elusive cable.
First, if you have a second controller lying around, you’re in luck! Just grab it and follow these steps:
- From the home screen, look at the top right corner. Tap on Settings.
- Scroll down until you find “Accessories.”
- Here, you can see all connected devices. Select Bluetooth Accessories.
Now, if you don’t have a second controller, don’t worry! Many modern TVs can control your PS5. For instance, my Fire TV remote works like a charm. If that’s not an option, your smartphone can step in. Download the PlayStation Remote Play app, connect it to your PS5, and use it as a remote.
Once you’ve chosen how to navigate:
- Press and hold the PlayStation and Share buttons together until the lights on the front of your controller start flashing.
- If it’s charged, those lights will blink blue.
- Back in the Bluetooth accessories menu, look for “DualSense Wireless Controller.”
- Select it and wait a moment. You’ll get a prompt asking if you want to pair it. Hit yes!
- If prompted, sign into another account if needed.
And just like that, you’re ready to game with your second controller!
This guide should help you connect your PS5 controller without any fuss! Enjoy your gaming experience!
