[Solved] How to Enable Google Live Captions when Playing Video on Android

Google allows for live captions to be added to the video playing on Android phones. This is useful, especially when viewing videos in a language you are not familiar with or are suffering from some form of hearing impairment. Google Live Captions use the same technology as Youtube to provide closed captions on a video. Follow the following steps to enabling Google Live Captions feature.

Step 5: Additionally, you can customize the style and presentation of the captions using the below options:

  • Language: This lets you choose which language to translate the video into.
  • Text Size: You can choose to have the captions show up in a range of sizes, from very small to very large.
  • Captions Style: This controls the look of the captions, and the colors used for the caption letters and the background for the letters.

Step 6: Google Live Captions feature is now active. Whenever you watch a video on your Android phone, live captions will automatically display at the bottom of the screen.
