Microsoft has confirmed that it is no longer producing Xbox One Kinect adapter, USB accessory needed to connect Xbox One Kinect sensor to Xbox One S, Xbox One X or other Windows device.
After careful consideration, we decided to stop manufacturing the Xbox Kinect Adapter to focus attention on launching new, higher fan-requested gaming accessories across Xbox One and Windows 10,
according to Microsoft spokesperson said.
Microsoft gave the adapter away for free for 8 months after the launch of Xbox One S and started selling it in April 2017 for $39.99 after promotion ended.
Major retailers like Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop and Microsoft itself have listed the Xbox One Kinect Adapter as out of stock for months.
