MC447686: Microsoft Teams zero-install link unfurling

With zero-install link unfurling, any time an app link is shared in Teams, it can be anonymously unfurled to showcase its value and skills right in the flow of conversation to show upfront user value. Your users can use this information and choose to install and use the app right in the flow of conversation.

This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 98723.

Users can now see a preview card when a pasted link unfurls even when they don’t have the app installed.

MC447686: Microsoft Teams zero-install link unfurling

When this will happen

Standard Release: We will begin rolling out mid October and expect to complete by early November.

How this will affect your organization

The zero-install link unfurling experience is governed by all Teams admin security policies, which means that if an app is blocked at the tenant level, or if an Optional Connected Experience setting at the tenant or user level is turned off, zero-install link unfurling will honor these and won’t preview it.

What you need to do to prepare

No action required.
