MC447330: Microsoft Purview | eDiscovery (Premium): New role for review set tag management

We are introducing a new role in Microsoft Purview eDiscovery (Premium) for review set tag management.

We are introducing a new role called “Manage review set tags” which will allow the user to have granular permission on creating/editing/deleting of review set tags in eDiscovery (Premium) cases.

When this will happen

Rollout will begin in mid-October and is expected to be complete by late November.

How this will affect your organization

In eDiscovery (Premium), reviewers can apply tags to items in a review set to better organize and refine content included within a case.

This update introduces a new role called “manage review set tags” which will enable granular permissions for creating, editing, and deleting review set tags in eDiscovery (Premium) cases.

What you need to do to prepare

No action is needed to enable this update.

You can assign users to the new role via the Permissions page in the Microsoft Purview compliance portal:
