MC427763: Microsoft Purview | DLP: Self-diagnostic tool for SharePoint and OneDrive policies – Test-DlpPolicies (preview)

When this will happen

Rollout to public preview will begin in late November (previously late October) and is expected to be complete by late December (previously late November).

How this will affect your organization

With this preview update, admins can utilize a self-diagnostic tool via a new cmdlet (Test-DlpPolicies) to test DLP policies against SharePoint content and see if policies are working as expected. In test mode, the DLP policies are applied to the specified file in SharePoint, and an email containing the results is generated and sent to the admin.

What you need to do to prepare

No action is needed to enable this preview. Refer to documentation for additional details on using the cmdlet.
