Microsoft 365 admins can now connect third-party applications into their environments via Graph Connectors. With this update this content will now be available for eDiscovery workflows including collections, review, and export.
When this will happen
Rollout to public preview will begin in late July and is expected to be complete by early August.
How this will affect your organization
Once Graph Connectors are established for an organization, admins will have the option to add enabled connectors as a data source within eDiscovery cases under non-Microsoft 365 locations.
Content from this data source will now be available for search and collection (as a non-custodial data source in the collection wizard), where it can be committed to a review set, validated, and exported.
What you need to do to prepare
Access the eDiscovery (Premium) solution in the Microsoft Purview compliance portal.
