MC406239: Share to Teams from a Teams Personal App or Tab

Share to Teams allows users to share the content from a personal app or tab to other users, groups or channels within Teams. Teams App developers will need to enable the feature within the individual Teams App. This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 91117.

‘Share to Teams’ now allows users to share URLs from personal app or tab to other user or group or channel within Teams. This launches the ‘Share to Teams’ experience in a pop-up/modal window enabling a faster and seamless sharing experience.

When this will happen

Will begin rolling out in late July and expect to complete by mid-August.

How this will affect your organization

If a Teams App developer has enabled Share to Teams, users will be able to utilize the feature. Users can select Share to Teams to launch the Share to Teams experience in a pop-up/modal window. The pop-up/modal window allows users to add other users, groups or channels to share the content.
