We’re introducing a quick and simple page where you can see the update status for devices in your organization. The initial launch of the software updates page in the Microsoft 365 admin center will focus on Windows and Office updates. This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 82148 and 88951.
The Software updates page gives admins and business owners a high-level overview of the software update status for Office devices in the org.
The Windows tab in the Software Updates page will provide admins with a high-level update status for all devices in the organization.
When this will happen
Preview: We will begin rollout in late June and is expected to be completed by early July.
General Audience: We will begin rollout in mid-August and is expected to be completed by late August.

This release will help you monitor your Office and Windows updates so you can stay secure and protected.
What you need to do to prepare
The information presented on this page relies on diagnostic data being sent to Microsoft. To view the information, you must be assigned one of the following roles:
- Global admin
- Global reader
- Office apps admin
- Reports reader
- Usage summary reports reader
- Intune administrator
- Exchange admin
