MC384304: Updates available for Microsoft 365 Apps for Current Channel Version 2205 May 24

When this will happen

We’ll be gradually rolling out this update of Microsoft 365 Apps to users on that update channel starting May 24th, 2022 (PST).

Feature updates

Outlook

  • Read Aloud just got better: The new Read Aloud Toolbar features new, natural sounding voice options.

Teams

  • Give or take control for Citrix on Virtual Desktop Infrastructure: User on Citrix will be able to give and take control during calls and meetings. If you want another meeting participant to change a file, help you present, or demonstrate something, you can give control to that person. You will both be in control of the sharing, and you can take back control anytime. To take control while another person is sharing, select Request control. The person sharing can then approve or deny your request. While you have control, you can make selections, edits, and other modifications to the shared screen. When you’re done, select Release control to stop sharing control.
  • Automatic Groupings in Teams for Channel Posts: New automatic groupings will be available in Teams as suggestions to use in channel posts. For example, you can @TeamOwners in a channel posting and all Team Owners will be notified.
  • Microsoft Teams App in Microsoft Store: Microsoft Teams App for Work, school and life will soon be available to download from our very own Microsoft Store. This App will support work, school and consumer accounts on Windows 10 and Work or school accounts on Windows 11.
