We are excited to rollout an update for Yammer’s interactive emails. With this rollout, the sender name information in Yammer’s interactive emails will change from “<username> on Yammer” to simply the user’s name. This update will help simplify triaging and managing email notifications from Yammer. This rollout will not change the sender email address. This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 93297.
Enhancements to Yammer’s email notifications meta-data, such as the name of the sender, for a more efficient email triage.
When this will happen
This update will begin rolling out in late May and be completed by late June.
How this will affect your organization
Since the sender name for Yammer email notifications is changing, any inbox or Exchange rules tied to that sender name information that users have would need to be revised.

This feature will roll out automatically. You may need to update any internal documentation related to this change.
