You will soon see an updated user experience for the Information barriers solution within the Microsoft 365 compliance center. This update enables admins to configure and manage information barrier policies within the familiar compliance center interface and includes new landing pages for Segments and Policies. The Information Barriers solution within the Microsoft 365 compliance center enables organizations to restrict communication and collaboration between two user groups to avoid a conflict of interest from occurring. This user experience (UX) update adds solution landing pages within the Microsoft 365 compliance center for management of Information Barriers segments and policies.

Rollout will begin in late April and is expected to be complete by mid-May.
How this will affect your organization
Information barrier policies can be used to restrict communication and collaboration between two user groups to avoid a conflict of interest from occurring in your organization. With this update, you will now be able to more easily view and manage information barrier policies and defined segments from the new solution landing pages within in the Microsoft 365 compliance center.
From the new Policies landing page, you can create new policies and manage existing policies.
From the new Segments landing page, you can create and manage a list of segments for your organization.
