MC337956: Microsoft Secure Score is adding new improvement action for Microsoft Defender for Endpoint

This feature will update Microsoft Secure Score improvement actions to ensure a more accurate representation of security posture.

This update will include a new Microsoft Defender for Endpoint recommendation ‘Set user authentication for remote connections by setting Network Level Authentication to ‘Enabled’’ as a Microsoft Secure Score improvement action. We will continue to add suggested security improvement actions on an ongoing basis.

When this will happen

We will begin rolling this out in mid-April and expect to complete rollout late April.

How this will affect your organization

The following improvement actions related to Microsoft Defender for Endpoint will be added to Microsoft Secure Score:

• Set user authentication for remote connections by using Network Level Authentication to ‘Enabled’

What you need to do to prepare

There’s no action needed to prepare for this change, your score will be updated accordingly. Microsoft recommends reviewing the improvement actions listed in Microsoft Secure Score.
