Shared meeting stage allows meeting participants to interact with and collaborate on app content in real time. Until now, it was possible to share an entire app to the meeting stage using the Share to Stage button in Teams client. With this update, we are releasing new APIs in the Teams Client SDK that will provide developers with the ability to share specific parts of their app to the meeting stage from the app side panel experience.
Note: If you aren’t using the SDK, you can safely disregard this message.
This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 87799.
We have introduced new API’s within the Teams Client SDK that will provide developers the ability to share specific content within their app to the meeting stage from the app side panel experience.
When this will happen
We have begun rolling this out and expect to complete rollout mid-March (previously mid-February).
How this will affect your organization
As an Admin, you should be aware of these new APIs and the apps within your tenants that use them to provide a programmatic share to stage experience for meeting users.
