MC301712: Encrypted sync in Microsoft Edge is now available

You will soon see a new service plan associated with your Office 365 Business Essentials licensing details. This service plan will enable users to use encrypted sync with Microsoft Edge, the only modern browser to support encrypted sync using a Microsoft 365 account. When enabled, Microsoft 365 account users will be able to sync favorites, settings, addresses, passwords, extensions and collections in a secure way.

How this will affect your organization

The following service plan is being added to your Office 365 Business Essentials license so you can benefit from encrypted sync:

  • Microsoft Azure Rights Management Service

This will rollout default off and you will need to turn enable it via the instructions in the link below.
