Updated March 24, 2022: Microsoft have updated the rollout timeline below. Thank you for your patience.
When you receive a message in email that can be answered with a short response, Outlook may suggest three responses that you can use to reply with a couple of clicks. This capability already exists in Outlook on the web, and in Outlook iOS and Android. This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 70802.
Note: Due to some issues that presented themselves prior to rollout, Microsoft paused their planned release until now. Your patience and understanding is appreciated.
When this will happen
We expect this rollout to begin in early December (previously June) and be completed by early April (previously mid-March).
How this will affect your organization
Suggested replies are short email responses that appear at the bottom of an email message. When your users receive a message in email that can be answered with a short response, Outlook will suggest three responses that they can use to reply with a couple of clicks while always having the option to keep editing until they click or tap on “send”.
What you need to do to prepare:
You might want to notify your users about this new capability and update your training and documentation as appropriate.
