MC289241: Passwordless phone sign-in with Microsoft Authenticator experience changing

We are modifying the experience in the Microsoft Authenticator app when approving passwordless phone sign-in requests.

Affected Workloads

  • Identity Service

When will this happen

We will begin rolling this out to the Apple Store and Google Play store in early October and expect to complete in mid-October.

How this will affect your organization

You are receiving this message because our reporting indicates one or more users in your organization are enabled for and have registered to use passwordless phone sign-in with Microsoft Authenticator app. They will see the new experience once they update the app in October. This change is being made to reduce the chance of inadvertent approval for unsolicited passwordless authentication attempts.
