This update, that is currently rolling out to users in the Public Preview channel of Teams, adds a P next to their profile picture/avatar as shown in the image below. This is a marker that denotes the user is in Public Preview.

Rollout has begun and will finish by late September 2021.
How this will affect your organization
Users will now notice a P next to their profile picture/avatar indicating that they are in the Public Preview channel of Teams.
Note: Public preview is enabled on a per-user basis, and the option to turn on public preview is controlled in an admin policy.
What you need to do to prepare
You might want to notify your users and update your training and documentation as appropriate.
