Microsoft released KB5012170 on August 9, 2022, a standalone security update that provides support for Secure Boot Forbidden Signature Database (DBX). Windows 8.1 and newer clients and Windows Server 2012 and newer servers must install this update regardless of whether BitLocker is enabled or supported on these devices.
