On October 27, 2022, the Fijian government announced that Daylight Saving Time (DST) in the Republic of Fiji will not be observed in 2022. This DST change is included in the November 2022 non-security preview updates for the latest versions of Windows 10, Windows 11, and Windows Server 2022.

For organizations with devices in the Republic of Fiji on other Windows versions, a manual workaround is available between November 13, 2022 and December 13, 2022.

Please visit Fiji 2022 time zone update now available for further details around specific Windows versions and temporary solution guidance.

When will this happen

The non-observance of Daylight Saving Time (DST) in the Republic of Fiji in 2022 is in effect now.

With the November, 2022 non-security preview release, devices with the latest versions of Windows 10, Windows 11, and Windows Server 2022 will automatically be updated to reflect the new Fiji time zone order. Please note that the update release date depends on the OS version.

On December 13, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., devices with all other Windows versions will be offered a monthly quality update, which will correct time discrepancies.
