A research report from ESG and ISSA (The Life and Times of Cybersecurity Professionals 2020) show the shortage of global cybersecurity skills is getting worse. Research data indicates that a general lack of improvement of cybersecurity skill due to increasing workload on the existing cybersecurity staff, long-standing open jobs, an increase in hiring and training junior personnel, and an inability to learn or utilize security technologies to full potential.
