Network name or carrier logo is shown all the time on the left side of status bar of Moto G, Moto E, And Moto X. Motorola has started rolling out the latest version of Android 4.4.3 KitKat Update for Moto phones, that was just released by Google for Nexus devices. The update has been pushed to Moto G and Moto E users. In addition to the improved dialer with a new interface, enhancements, stability, and security fixes, the update adds a user setting to show or hide the network name in notifications bar.
In our 4.4.3 update (rolling out currently), we have a user setting under the network settings that lets the user disable the network name in status bar.
To hide the network name on Moto G, Moto E, and Moto X in the US/ UK, open phone settings > Mobile network settings then uncheck ‘Show mobile network’.
